Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how TailorMetric (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our parametric pattern-drafting service. By using TailorMetric, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

2. Information We Collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive the basic profile information those providers share (typically your name and email). If you use a passkey, authentication happens via WebAuthn — we store a public key credential, never your biometric data itself.

Measurements and designs. The body measurements, garment assemblies, saved projects, and exported pattern files (PDF/DXF) you create are stored so you can return to and re-download your work.

Payment information. Subscription and pay-as-you-go payments are processed by our payment providers (Paystack and/or Stripe). We do not store your full card details on our servers — payment processors handle that under their own security standards and privacy policies.

Usage and cookies.We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you signed in and to support passkey login, and Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the site. See “Cookies & Analytics” below.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and maintain your account and saved projects.
  • To generate, render, and export your sewing patterns.
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions or trials.
  • To send account-related email — verification, password reset, and trial/billing reminders.
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the service.
  • To understand aggregate usage so we can improve the product.

4. Cookies & Analytics

TailorMetric sets a first-party session cookie to keep you signed in, and, if you register a passkey, a short-lived cookie during the WebAuthn registration/sign-in challenge. Both are functional and required for the service to work.

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate (pages visited, general traffic patterns). Google Analytics may set its own cookies as described in Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using your browser’s tracking-protection settings.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Payment processors (Paystack, Stripe) to process subscription and pay-as-you-go charges.
  • Email delivery for transactional messages (account verification, password reset, billing/trial reminders).
  • Analytics (Google Analytics) for aggregate usage statistics.
  • Legal compliance — if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TailorMetric, our users, or the public.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account, measurements, and saved projects for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data and saved designs within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Your Rights & Choices

  • You can review and update your account details at any time from your profile.
  • You can request a copy of, or the deletion of, your personal data by contacting us.
  • You can unsubscribe from non-essential email at any time; account-security emails may still be sent.
  • You can opt out of Google Analytics as described above.

8. Data Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing, never in plain text. Passkey (WebAuthn) sign-in never transmits or stores biometric data on our servers. All traffic to TailorMetric is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using practices appropriate to the sensitivity of the data involved.

9. Children's Privacy

TailorMetric is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of TailorMetric after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
